Restaurant Pihlajasaari is located on Pihlajasaari island, a popular recreational area, only 10 minutes by boat from Kaivopuisto shore. The fully-licenced café-restaurant of the island has served customers since 1929 in an old wooden villa, Villa Hällebo, from 1883.
There is an excellent view of the open sea from the front terrace situated on natural rock, whereas from the smaller terrace there is a nice view of Helsinki.
The connection ferry to Pihlajasaari leaves from Merisatamanranta behind Cafe Carusel and from Ruoholahti. On the island there is a guest harbour for those who come with their own boat.
