Teledreams - a Connection Over Time and Place

The exhibition recounts the history of crossing time and space by the means of electronic communication technology. Telegraphs, telephones and radios as well as more modern technologies, such as televisions, smartphones and the Internet, all have to do with humankind’s dream of seeing, hearing or messaging across long distances.

The exhibition sheds light on the kinds of technical networks and devices that have been built and on the adoption of new communication technologies and their use in daily lives.

The exhibition features more than 100 objects of communication technology from the end of the 19th century to the present day, as well as treasures from image and film archives.
