BabySauna – Baby’s Day

CHANGED PROGRAMME: Instead of the Baby Ocean performance, little ones get to enjoy the warmth of BabySauna at Vuosaari House’s Baby’s Day.

The BabySauna performance offers an artistic and sensory experience for babies. BabySauna introduces the viewers to the Finnish sauna culture.

BabySauna combines a joint performance for babies and adults and a small washing moment. During the BabySauna performance, the peaceful atmosphere of a sauna is felt amidst the sounds of water, dance paced at the rhythm of sauna stones and colourful buckets. BabySauna also presents familiar washing gestures and the joys of playing in water.

After the performance, the audience can get up on stage to try out the elements they have experienced and seen in the performance during a shared washing moment, where there is an opportunity to play with water, wash a child’s hands and feet in a bucket of water, or even marvel at the sound of water. Towels for babies and sauna slippers for adults are available on site. The performance involves no words.
