Cantores Minores & Windsbacher Knabenchor: Johannes Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem

Cantores Minores and the world-famous German Windsbacher Knabenchor boys’ choir (born 1946) will collaborate to perform Johannes Brahms’ ‘Ein deutsches Requiem’ in two concerts in October 2026.

The main concert of the joint project will be exceptionally held on Friday 30 October 2026 at 19.00 in St. John’s Church. The work will also be performed on Thursday, October 29, at the Lohja Church in collaboration with the Lohja City Orchestra. 

The soloists are opera singer Tuuli Takala, soprano, and CM alumni Tuomas Pursio, baritone. The concert will begin with Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody, with Jeni Packalén as the soloist, and the composer’s Tragic Overture will be heard as the second number.

Cantores Minores and Windsbacher Knabenchor will also hold a joint concert on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 4 pm in Kallio Church, where they will perform both together and separately.
