The Cable Museums invite children and their families to a fairy-tale family day in October.

The Cable Museums invite children and their families to a fairy-tale family day in October. The museums are packed with fairytales and there are a lot of fun activities available!

In the Finnish Museum of Photography you get to create fairytale-themed photograms – photos created in a darkroom without a camera. The workshop offers you an opportunity to experience the magic of darkroom work. You get the materials, tools and guiding on the spot. The workshop is recommended for children over 5 years old. Children under 10 years old in the company of an adult.

In the Theatre Museum we alternate between the lights and shadows of fairytales – shadow puppets are made and fairytale inspired shadow puppet plays are created. In the exhibition you can find huge treats from the fairytale Hansel and Gretel, fairytale animals and other feats from the properties. You can create your own fairytale character onto the stage of Arkadia Theatre using the treasures from the costume storage. 'Simsalabim' and the lights and sounds finish the magic up!

In the Hotel and Restaurant Museum there is a fairytale adventure where you get to solve mystical riddles, and you also get to craft food stamps. Come to help Helmi-chicken and the forest spirit! In addition you can craft your own food stamps inspired by the food and beverage tattoos displayed in the Food Tattoo exhibition.
