The captivating Korean band ADG7 for the first time in Helsinki

ADG7 (Ak Dan Gwang Chil) is a multi-award winning Korean pop band. The music of the nine-piece ADG7 is an exhilarating blend of Korean traditional music, pop and funk, not forgetting humour.

The programme of ADG7, which breathes fresh air into tradition, includes gut ritual music and minyo folk songs from the Hwanghae-do region, now part of North Korea’s western province. The ensemble’s repertoire showcases several Korean traditional instruments like daegeum, saenghwang, ajaeng and gayageum.

The group was founded in 2015 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of Japanese colonial rule. ADG7, who have performed at festivals such as Glastonbury and Roskilde, charmed the Finnish audience in Tampere at WOMEX 2019 – and now the band that is full of positive energy is coming to Helsinki for the first time as part of the Savoy WORLD concert series.

The duration of the performance is approx. 2 h, including intermission.

The stalls form a designated alcohol serving area for adults age 18 and older. The balcony is for people of all ages, no alcohol served.
