Aija Puurtinen & Brooklynin satu

A musical time travel to American-Finnish emigration and its mental landscape.

Performed acoustically and semi-acoustically, sang both in Finnish and "Finglish", this epoch draws heavily on Finnish and American folk music traditions.

All the material sung by the Aija Puurtinen & Brooklynin satu ensemble is original and composed and written for the albums "Brooklynin satu" and "Lännen maata". The instrumental songs also include traditional themes. The band will release their third recording, the live album "Sudbury Tango!", in the spring of 2024.
