Anna Murtola: La Tierra Blanca

The most recent project by Anna Murtola, the world’s northernmost flamenco singer, is La Tierra Blanca – world-class flamenco music from northern Finland.

The La Tierra Blanca album to be released in February 2023 is Anna Murtola’s second solo album. The album release will feature a visually impressive performance combining sound art, video art and flamenco music.

In the concert, collages of sounds of nature and synthetic soundscapes meet the delicateness and disarming power of the human voice. Video art highlighting northern light and shadows links to the expressive tradition of flamenco and the uncompromising musical talent of the ensemble, consisting of top flamenco musicians in the Nordic countries.
