Chamber Music from Peru and Spain
Spanish-Peruvian guitar soloist Luis Malca and Helsinki-based chamber music group Aurinko will perform a program of Peruvian and Spanish compositions
Luis Malca, a Peruvian guitarist, and the Aurinko ensemble will play Peruvian and Spanish works that combine folk and popular music with the art music tradition in a creative way.
The program includes e.g. Luigi Boccherin's Fandango, Guevara Ochoa's Cusco and Vilcanota, Ximénez de Abril's Divertimento op 43 for guitar, two flutes and string quartet and Tríptico Peruano, in which guitar and string quartet perform popular Peruvian songs arranged by Rafael Junchaya.
