Chico Matada Band

Chico Matada's Quintet is a joyful melting pot of different music genres.

Mozambican-born Matada brings influences from his native Africa to his music, but you can also hear Echoes from Mexico, the Nordics, rhythm & blues, jazz and just about everything else! This fresh lineup assembled in Helsinki from representatives of different cultures gets the pelvis swaying and the whole body pulsating with the music.

The Chico Matada quintet's concert is like a Dutch Treat of abundance, where you eat with your fingers, talk, laugh, maybe even cry a little. Definitely first and foremost, emotion is the key word!
