Finnish Baroque Orchestra: The Christmas Child
The Radiance of the Dresden Orchestra - The orchestra music of the high baroque from Zelenka to Bach
The Christmas Child - Christmas music from the German-speaking area in 17th century
The Christmas concert in the House of Nobility residency series celebrates the light shining in the darkness with the profound music of the early baroque composers of the German-speaking area. The concert features Christmas music for vocal and instrumental ensembles by Johann Sebastian Bach’s predecessors Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Schelle, Johann Rosenmüller and Franz Tunder.
The Finnish Baroque Orchestra welcomes the harpsichordist, singer and composer Elam Rotem from Basel as its guest.
FiBO's artistic planner Anthony Marini introduces the concert at the House of Nobility on 9 December from 5 pm to 5.30 pm.
