The summer art camps are themed around forests and trees. What do they mean to us, and what do we know about the wonders of the forest?

The summer art camps are themed around forests and trees. What do they mean to us, and what do we know about the wonders of the forest?

Art camps are a way of working with creative expression and observing your own environment. At the same time, you can consider how what you do relates to and affects everything else around you. We will learn about different basic techniques of drawing and painting as well as about materials available from nature. We will draw in the local forest and make disappearing environmental installations. The camp week includes a day trip to Seurasaari.

Taught by visual artist Sade Hiidenkari, M.A. The art camps are organised in cooperation with the Helsinki Artists’ Association.

They are free of charge but require a commitment to work for the whole week. Each art camp takes 10 students. Bring your own lunch!

Registration starting trom 11 April: [email protected], 040 7522 290
