Georg Marander + Avec + Hengissä

Hengissä (Finnish for “alive”/“in spirits”) is a duo founded in the autumn of 2020, that combines a submarine, tropical pulse with lively Finnish lyrics about longing and growth. 

Rhythm and texture is provided by instruments ranging from double bass (feat. Javier Sanchez), Game Boy, toy synths and Brazilian percussion. 

Echoes of Isabelle Antena, Joao & Bebel Gilberto and Arto Lindsay can be heard in the sound of Hengissä.
