Haltia's Outdoor Saturday in August: Harvest

On Outdoor Saturday in August, you can harvest crops on a guided hike from Nuuksio, participate in a wild food workshop, enjoy an outdoor dinner made with seasonal delicacies from Ravintola Haltia, and ask an expert about everyonesrights.

Harvesting is, along with harvesting crops, a tradition that inspires people to collect food from nature. Finns enjoy their everyonesrights picking berries, mushrooms and fishing while spending time in the nearby nature. Harvest is also an excellent time to prepare homemade delicacies such as berry jams, juices, preserved vegetables and pastries.

The new "Year of the White Owl" exhibition opens in Haltia Galleria the day before, which means it can be admired by the visitors of August's Outdoor Saturday when it's fresh.
