Helsinki Comics Festival 2024

Helsinki Comics Festival offers versatile, free activities for both children and adults. The program includes interviews with invited guests, panel discussions, competitions, workshops and exhibitions. Comic books from both major publishers and small magazines are on display.

The themes of the festival this year are British comics and pop. As guests, in addition to domestic artists, e.g. Zoe Thorogood, Hamish Steele, Gareth Brookes and Dave McKean from Great Britain, Anneli Furmark from Sweden and Joonas Sildre from Estonia.

The visual appearance of the festival is created by festival artist Reetta Niemensivu.

The popular event for self-published books Zine Fest is also organized as part of the Comics Festival.
