The largest Design and Architecture festival in the Nordic countries, Helsinki Design Week, presents the city from new perspectives every year.
The largest Design and Architecture festival in the Nordic countries, Helsinki Design Week, presents the city from new perspectives every year.
This year’s annual theme is Underneath.
In accordance with the theme, the event will dive deep into creative processes and highlight the most interesting phenomena in the creative fields at three main venues and with over a hundred other events.
In September this year, eyes will be on the historic bank building, Paasivuorenkatu 3 in Hakaniemi owned by the real estate owner Antilooppi.
The common goal of Helsinki Design Week and Antilooppi is to get to know the identity of the Hakaniemi area and develop it together with both design professionals and all city residents.
An important part of HDW is also the iconic Design Market sales event at the Cable Factory on 7–8 September.
