HKI Skepu Fest V

HKI Skepu Fest is a unique skate punk event, which has brought melodic and fast punk bands from around the world to Helsinki's Suvilahti since 2019. In the vicinity of the venue Tiivistämö is located the great, collectively hand-built Suvilahti DIY skatepark, concert venue Oranssi and, for example, Suvilahti's graffiti fence.

This year, the festival, which is open to everyone, supports the original and independent youth activities of the Suvilahti area by offering a festival experience to people under 18 years old, only for the price of a three-euro locker service.

A total of thirteen bands will be seen during the weekend. The Swedes Misconduct and Passage 4. Afewyearslater from Hungary and Have No Heroes from Latvia. The domestic bands are all interesting representatives of melodic punk and hardcore, such as One Hidden Frame, Distral and The Phoenix Foundation. The festival has a variety of grassroots partners, such as the Aseistakieltytyjäliitto, Eläinten Turvakoti Saparomäki and Save Suvilahti DIY.

HKI Skepu Fest V is a non-discrimination event, and the event follows the GUIDELINES FOR SAFER SPACES. Racism, ageism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, body language or other harassment will not be accepted at any level or in any form. Irresponsible behavior that endangers a safer space is dealt with without exception. There will also be an anonymous feedback box where you can safely and anonymously leave a harassment report or criticism/development suggestions to the organizers.
