Jake and Rambling Blade

Jake and Rambling Blade is an acoustic Americana band with strong influences of bluegrass and country. JRB hails from Finland and its members are united by a love of bluegrass and country despite having very diverse backgrounds in music. Jakob “Jake” Frankenhaeuser (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, banjo) is the heart of the band - all the originals of the band are written and composed by him. The whole band is behind the arrangements of the songs. Jake was a founding member of the Nordic folk group Gjallarhorn in the nineties.

Alongside Jake, the group consists of Anders “Asa” Nyman (acoustic guitar, lap steel) - well known from the Finnish trash metal band Final Assault and Jukka Puurula (double bass) still active in the gold selling Finnish rock band Don Huonot.

The band enjoyed their first gigging summer together in 2022 when they performed about 20 gigs all over Finland in venues like the Kaustinen Folk Festival, Kihaus Folk, Krapin paja in Tuusula, among others. They quickly got known for their lively and energetic live appearance on stage, the old foxes have found new momentum inspired by bluegrass, country and Americana, and this can be felt and seen especially when they perform live. Their gigs offer a fast and energetic drive, vulnerability and a sensitivity that is sure to affect anyone attending one of their gigs!
