Laulun lahja – Mother’s Day Concert

The “Laulun lahja” (“Gift of Song”) concert is a musical gift for mothers and those celebrating Mother’s Day. Children will sing songs from Finland and abroad in honour of Mother’s Day and spring.  In addition to children’s and folk songs, the concert programme includes musical compositions and classical music. Songs will cover themes such as flowers, animals, and of course, mothers.

Performers aged 1 to 22 study singing using the Suzuki method. Marjaana Merikanto plays the piano. Directed by: Analía Capponi-Savolainen, Mervi Sipola-Maliniemi, Outi Pekkarinen and Janina Mäyry.

The concert is suitable for all ages, and admission is free. A voluntary programme booklet costs 10 euros.

The concert is organised in collaboration with the Suzuki Family Association and the Helsinki City Museum.
