Little Willie Mehto

Drawing from the deep roots of blues, Little Willie Mehto takes the audiences on a delta blues journey spiced with harmonica and cigar box guitar.

Mehto represents Finland in the 2024 European Blues Challenge, also dubbed the Eurovision Song Contest of Blues.

Ville “Little Willie” Mehto is a well-known blues artist who has performed at numerous blues events in Finland and Europe. In addition to his own songs, he performs country and delta blues classics in the spirit of Muddy Waters and Brownie McGhee & Sonny Terry, among others.

Willie’s skillful work with the slide pipe and dobro, on the other hand, bring to mind the great masters of the craft, such as Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, R. L. Burnside and Bukka White.
