Marketta Nelimarkka: From Light to Light

From light to light describes the outlines of life experiences, which contain light within. 

The works are deeply impacted by the hard parts of the path of life where dark currents are surrounded by colours, gold, sheen which is reflected from the art when illuminated by viewers (phone flashlight).

People need other people as well to see glimpses of light.

The swirl of light in the center of the works describes how the light of God’s mercy is the center of life, creating faith and gratitude to live in light, that you can’t always see. When light is an experience, bounded by swirls giving dimension to colours, there arises a limitless consciousness of experiencing light as an artist. The circles of my life dissolve, until I have yet again passed into light. Born from light and returning to light.

In the art works an intuitive art form in which the transferring of creation into visible words and images creates a bridge to the viewers own inner self, in best case scenario moving from light to light.
