Minttu Hellstén + Heli Hartikainen

Kuudes Linja is celebrating the album release of the singer-musician Minttu Hellstén's debut album Hiipivä, pimeä hiljaisuus. The evening will be started by saxophonist and sound artist Heli Hartikainen. 

Minttu Hellstén is a new emerging name in dark-speaking and deeply soulful art pop. Minttu's music is a rare combination of organic and synthetic worlds that speaks to the depths of the mind, where deep bass meets honest sensitivity. The music has been described as visual, cathartic and original, embracing its listeners. Hellstén's songs are combined in a unique way with world-class dark-toned and history-savvy electronic production, which Hellstén has realized together with Tomi Hyyppä. 

Minttu Hellstén (vocals, midi controllers, harmonium) and Tomi Hyyppä (midi controllers, backgrounds). 

Heli Hartikainen is a boundary-breaking saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and sound artist. She is known for her work Chronovariations, which lingers in the middle of sound art, avant-garde jazz and experimental ambient, which was well received at the 2022 Flow Festival. Hartikainen performs an electroacoustic solo version of the work in the spirit of the Chronovariations album, which will be released in September 2024.
