Moving in November – Dana Michel: MIKE
In her performance MIKE, Dana Michel starts with a question: if we cannot be ourselves at work, where we spend most of our lives – what kind of lives are we living?
In her performance MIKE, Dana Michel starts with a question: if we cannot be ourselves at work, where we spend most of our lives – what kind of lives are we living?
MIKE transforms mundane actions into choreographic experiments, exploring the profound connection between trust and self-expression within the context of work culture. During a three-hour performance placed in the open space of Caisa, Michel unfolds the automatism of our daily actions, sharply addressing work-life balance, hovering between tragic and comic.
MIKE is a long-durational performance, and you are invited to lie, sit or stand and to move freely in the space. Witnessing the full experience is recommended, but you can leave and re-enter if wished.
The performance is part of Moving in November festival 2.-12.11.2023. As part of the festival, there will be an open discussion with Michel and local host called Soup Talk on the 6th of November at noon in Caisa.
