The artists who are graduating from Kaarisilta will be presenting Aikahyppy (time jump) in April in Galleria Art Kaarisilta. “Aikahyppy” will offer a fast-forward through three years of visual arts studies. “Aikahyppy” features works of art that have been created through drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking techniques. In May, looms the leap into post-graduation time, into the future.

The exhibition features works from nine visual artists. Milla Hokkanen emphasizes technical skill in her works. Heta Hyvönen creates creatures from wood, clay and plastic. Neea Kyllönen works with painting and printmaking techniques, and colours are important in her works. Pyry Nikula is interested in creating places and characters. The works of Kai Pitkänen may appear eclectic at first glance, but a closer look reveals deliberate events and considered details. Hannah Sklar works primarily with printmaking techniques. The art works of Tomi Vainio evolve naturally. Emi Tuominen creates functional objects from clay. The art of Alva Tähti is realistic.

More detailed presentations of the artists are available on: https://kaarisilta-studio.fi/opiskelijat/.

The exhibition works have been completed during the three-year basic studies in Media and Visual Expression.
