On the Strings of a Kantele

Uulu’s mobile children’s cultural centre visits eastern Helsinki and brings with it composition workshops for daycare groups.

On the Strings of a Kantele workshop focuses on getting to know the kantele and making your own composition. We will explore which notes can be found in a 5-string kantele and examine the different ways to make the strings of the kantele sound. In addition, each group will make a small composition with the kantele, possibly with short lyrics to sing.
