Red Classics: HIFK - Ilves

In the Red Classics event organized by KOFF and HIFK, there's going to be cheerful hockey excitement as uplifting live music meets the fast-paced twists of a hockey game. 

At the Helsinki Ice Hall Nordis, during the HIFK–Ilves game, a 30-member brass orchestra called Retuperän WBK will be in charge of boosting the spirits during game breaks and intermissions. They have arranged their own versions of numerous classic hockey tunes to delight the audience. Even HIFK's own goal song has received a new interpretation.

Before the event begins, there will also be a Red Classics parade, led by Retuperän WBK's percussionists and Sinebrychoff brewery's horses. The parade will start from the front of the Mexi restaurant on Mannerheimintie at 15.30 on game day, heading towards Nordis, where a Red Classics group photo will be taken with the participants. (The gathering of the Red Classics parade will start at 15.00)
