Singing Journey: In the Mediterranean Sun
Singing Journey returns to Maunula! As autumn arrives, we are off to the Mediterranean sunshine to the beat of the music.
We will sail in the sunshine on turquoise waves from the rocky shores of Portugal to the eastern gateway of Turkey.
Along the way, we will hear old familiar evergreens in their native languages and some new ones, too.
The concert is particularly suited to those interested in the music, cultures and languages of memories, but you will do just fine without any prior knowledge. The screen will display a translation of the original lyrics in Finnish. We will also talk about the origins of the songs and their journey around the world.
