Stadi Cup 2023

Stadi Cup is an annual girls’ and women’s football tournament held in Helsinki every June. It is the world’s largest tournament of its kind, with a record-breaking 460 teams participating in the year 2023.

Stadi Cup was founded in 1985 with the aim of providing girls with the same opportunities to engage in and play football as boys. Before that, the majority of young female players had been participating in boys’ team games organized by the association and districts.

The goal was to organize a nationwide tournament exclusively for girls, Stadi Cup, with the aim of advancing girls’ competitive activities. The tournament played a significant role in introducing new leagues for girls.
