SunJazz: The Collective Abroad

The Collective Abroad is an international jazz collective with members from seven European countries. The band is currently on an international tour with 17 concerts in Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Czech Republic, recording their third album in December 2023.
Since 2019, The Collective Abroad released 2 albums and played 8 international tours with concerts at festivals such as Elbjazz (Hamburg, DE), Classical Beat (DE), Swingin' Groningen (NL), JazzKaar (EE), Supernova Jazz Blast (DK), Aarhus Jazzfest (DK), Vinterjazz (DK) and venues such as B-flat (DE), JazzHall Hamburg (DE), Philly Joe’s (EE), JazzDock (CZ) and Dexter (DK).

The Collective Abroad plays contemporary improvised music originating from band members' music scenes: Stockholm (SE), Berlin (DE), Hamburg (DE), Amsterdam (NL), Tallinn (EE), Vilnius (LT) and Aalborg (DK). The music combines the groove of modern jazz with the intimate atmosphere of Nordic jazz and explosive energy from a top horn section.
