Two little creatures – an evening of poems and photographs

Mikonkatu 1, Kämp Galleria, 00100 Helsinki
The Finnish Museum of Photography K1

Immerse yourself in the world of photography and pause for a moment to listen to poems.

In the exhibition Me kaksi by photographer Pentti Sammallahti, actors Elsa Saisio and Nelly Kärkkäinen interpret and sing poems important to Sammallahti. The atmosphere of the performance is like the photographs themselves: heartfelt and playful. The evening celebrates the same beauty and connection between people, animals and nature that Sammallahti has captured in his photographs. During the last hour of the evening, photographer Pentti Sammallahti will also be present to tell the stories and backgrounds of the photographs selected for the exhibition.

Performance times: 17:15, 18:00, 19:00, 19:45, 20:30

The programme is part of the ‘Experience Six Museums’ event, which will take place in the museums of Helsinki city centre on 23 November from 17:00 to 22:00. The performances combine multiple art forms to create surprising encounters and interpretations in the middle of the exhibitions – there will be circus, poetry, live music and more. Participating in the event are the Design Museum, HAM Helsinki Art Museum, Villa Hakasalmi, Helsinki City Museum, Kunsthalle Helsinki and the K1 Gallery of the Finnish Museum of Photography. Admission to the museums and performances is free during the event.
