Venla Saartamo & Kansanruusut

Venla Saartamo & Kansanruusut is a band with strongly Southern European vibes. The repertoire consists of cover songs tuned to their own style. The music includes e.g. elements of folk, jazz, Balkan and pop.

In the instruments Marcello Pacifici (guitar), Axel Schindlbeck (trumpet), Venla Saartamo (vocals), J Salonen (drums), Vladimir Kekez (percussion).

Venla sings in Finnish, English and Spanish, the feeling is relaxed and captivating, even theatrical at times. All the band's musicians have been practicing playing for almost 30 years.
