Walk through the Ala-Malmi eras

Learn more about the places and hoods in Helsinki outside your familiar haunts! The walking tour is guided in Finnish.

Come and explore the city district of Malmi in great company. The long historical development of Malmi from a medieval rural village to a large, ever evolving urban district is reflected in the diverse buildings and cityscapes of the area, which will be visited on this free guided walking tour.

The tour will last about an hour and a half. The walking tour has been developed together with WalkHelsinki and Malmitalo, and it is part of the Places & Hoods – See Helsinki Anew exhibition, showcased on the fourth floor of the City Museum until 15 September 2024.
