Welcome to the rainbow history walk! The event is aimed for young people aged 13 to 25, and the tour is free of charge. Please note that this guided tour is held in Finnish.

The tour will dive into Helsinki in the early 20th century, presented from the perspective of LGBT+ people. What opportunities did Helsinki offer to those whose sexuality or gender did not fit into the narrow norms of their time? How did men who loved men find each other at a time when sex between people of the same gender was a crime? Why was Esplanadi Park the busiest gay park in Helsinki? The tour guide is Niklas Koskinen.

The event is part of the official Youth Pride program. The walking tour starts at the City Museum and ends at the Old Church Park. Free admission.
