Kumpula Botanic Garden situates on a historical lands of Kumpula mansion. The Kumpula Garden collection comprises two parts: garden of cultivated plants and geobotanical garden. The garden of cultivated plants includes both economic and ornamental species. There are separate sections for fruit and berry plants, other edible plants, and medicinal plants. The design of the geobotanical garden largely resembles an English landscape garden. The plants have been grouped according to their areas of origin into the following sections: Europe incl. Finland, eastern North America, western North America, the continental Far East and Japan.
