Asa, also known as Avain, Asamasa, Aatsipoppa and Mats Nyckelström, is a veteran Finnish wordsmith. Throughout his twenty-five-year career, Asa has been actively releasing albums and has received acclaim for them from listeners and critics alike.

From the very beginning, this artist has forged his own path. He has always restlessly sought a more interesting and winding route on this journey with no destination. Asa has been hailed as a pioneer of Finnish-language rap, whose lyrics blend dark humour and folk poetry under social themes.

This rapper, who is constantly seeking new forms of musical expression on his own terms, tours diligently, performing at venues of all sizes across the country.

The evening will be opened by Duo Vastaanotin with their performance Kanavatyö.
