Children’s Saturday invites families to have fun! The programme of the day offers nature-themed activities, books, music playschool, workshops and the children’s absolute favourite: Arnie Alligator & Viidakkorumpu!

Programme of the day

11.00–14.00 Malmin Varustamo: Nature activity point for young ones
The nature activity point invites the youngest in the family to explore and wonder at nature through a range of activities and materials.

11.00–15.00 Promoting children’s swimming skills
Come discuss children’s swimming skills while the little ones take a dip in the ball pit.
Together with the Education Division of the City of Helsinki, Fimu ry, and Monaliiku ry.

12.00–14.00: Yksin (‘Alone’) project: Miniature books and weaving matariki stars
In this workshop you get to craft your own miniature books and weave matariki stars, letting your creativity fly together.

13.00–13.30: Joyful family music playschool
“Spin like a whirlpool – on the surface of the water!
Float like a cloud – up in the sky!”

This joyful family music playschool will involve singing, play and making music together in a summery atmosphere. The music playschool will be led byChildren’s Musician Henna-Maija Kuki, who has a master’s degree in music and is best known from her Henna ja Supersankarit band.

14.00–14.45 Arnie Alligator & Viidakkorumpu
The adorable and huggable Arnie Alligator will be taking to the stage with his friends Tobbe and Jocke, who are always dressed for a safari. Arnie will play jokes, pranks and jungle drums in this hilarious performance for the whole family.

Arnie Alligator has received over 400 million views on YouTube and his music has sold platinum and gold records in several countries.
