Malmitalo is a vibrant and diverse cultural center offering experiences in rhythm music, theater, dance, children’s events, and rotating exhibitions. Its own cinema, Kino Helios, screens the latest films at affordable prices. Malmitalo hosts a wide range of free events, and its facilities are also available for rent.
Arts education is a key focus of Malmitalo’s activities. The City of Helsinki’s Culture and Leisure Division is in charge of the program.
The building is also home to the Malmi Library, Helsinki Finnish Adult Education Centre, the North Helsinki Music Institute, Art School of Northern Helsinki, the Helsinki Dance Institute, Taito Craft and Design School, youth services unit and restaurant Lamassu.
