The delightful Children’s Saturday will feature rocking music, a music playschool and fun family moments with a reading oasis and workshops. Bring the whole family to Malmi!

As part of the Malmi Summer of Events, Children’s Saturday will provide joy and fun for the whole family! During the day, you can read, play music, do arts and crafts and enjoy rocking music for children.

The day’s programme

Reading oasis in the library

The library will set up a reading oasis near the entrance to the Malmitalo. Bring a book and come read with us.

Games and play activities for the youngest members of the family, created by the Malmi Youth Work Unit’s young summer workers

Summer workers will provide enjoyable activities open to all. Join us for fun and games!

Joyful family music playschool

“Spin like a whirlpool – on the surface of the water! Float like a cloud – up in the sky!”
This joyful family music playschool will involve singing, play and making music together in a summery atmosphere. The music playschool will be led by Master of Music and children’s musician Henna-Maija Kuki.

Rokkasoppa

Having reached preschool age, Rokkasoppa are a children’s rock band whose songs are about tastes, smells, sensations and feelings with a rock twist that will have even the adults shaking their butts. “The best thing about food and rock is that you’re free to like what you like. But you do have to taste everything.”
