Experience a rare late-summer dining event in the heart of Nuuksio National Park, just 35 minutes from Helsinki.
For two exclusive evenings, Helsinki-based chef Daniel Romi brings his refined and highly aesthetic culinary style to Scenic Hut, the award-winning architectural dining venue at Haltia Lake Lodge. Designed by Finnish architect Malin Moisio, Scenic Hut has become known for its distinctive bird’s nest-inspired design and immersive forest setting overlooking Lake Pitkäjärvi.
Daniel Romi, 25, currently works at Restaurant Palace in Helsinki. Despite his young age, he has already established himself as one of Finland’s most promising culinary talents, winning both the Nordic and European Young Chef Championships and reaching the finals of Finland’s prestigious Chef of the Year competition this autumn.
His cooking combines precision, seasonality, and clean expression, with influences from Japanese aesthetics and technique. The exclusive pop-up menu created for Haltia Lake Lodge is inspired by late summer in the Nordic forest — balancing delicacy, depth, texture, and pure flavors.
Guests will be seated around a live fire inside Scenic Hut, surrounded by forest landscapes and panoramic lake views, creating an intimate multi-sensory experience where contemporary gastronomy meets Nordic nature.
