Halloween Céilí – Helsinki Harps Folk Group

Oct 31 – Nov 1, 2026

Korjaamo Culture Factory

Töölönkatu 51 a-b, 00250 Helsinki

Led by a musical performance from The Helsinki Harps Folk Group in traditional costumes hand woven from oat straw grown and collected here in Finland, this will be a night where the audience will be given space to dance, sing along and participate actively in a collective Halloween celebration that gets right to the original pagan roots of the holiday traditionally known as Samháin in Ireland.

Audience members are invited to come in costume, with a Samháin or Kekri focus being encouraged. But you are of course welcome to come however you wish! There’ll be prizes on the night for the best costumes and a chance to learn some traditional group Céilí dances too!

This promises to be a night not to be missed! See you there!

P.S For any confused Finns, Céilí is pronouced ”Kei-lih”.
