The Spectacle Society is an investigative theatre research project that investigates the spectacularization of political and public life in Europe from the 1980s to the present day.
A constantly assembled and dismantled set of an undefined “broadcast”, always on air.
A stage space–non-place that gradually reveals itself to be the suite of the Ritz Hotel where Margaret Thatcher spent the last days of her life, accompanied by the spectres of Alzheimer’s disease and of an entire historical era, for one final, unreal reckoning with her political battle.
