TOPMOST is one of the most important bands in Finnish pop history!
It’s now been 60 years since Topmost was founded. The band has a unique line-up for Finland and even the world, still boasting an almost fully original line-up of members (4/6). How many original members still play in the Rolling Stones?
Topmost was the most popular band in Finland in 1966–1967. It was also very well known in other Nordic countries. “Nothing this fantastic had been heard since the Beatles,” enthused Expressen magazine in 1966.
Topmost’s anniversary year 2024 was a memorable one. The venues were crowded, filled with sometimes near-ecstatic audiences.
Pertti Avola of Helsingin Sanomat wrote a very positive review of Topmost’s anniversary concert at the Savoy Theatre on 20 August 2024. The Topmost 60 Forever anniversary year received a dignified farewell at the famous Tavastia-klubi on 11 December.
On 7 March 2025, Gugi Koklyushkin, a founding member and co-vocalist of Topmost, passed away due to a rapidly progressing illness. Despite this great loss and the grief, Topmost has decided to continue on without Gugi, with a slightly updated line-up.
Topmost still features four of its original members: Harri Saksala, Kisu Jernström, Holle Holopainen and Eero Lupari. Keyboardist, guitarist and singer Mikko Rintanen, known for performing with stars such as Remu, Hector, Kirka and Wigwam, will play the keyboards.
Duration: 2 hours, incl. a 15-min intermission
