Traveling Jones featuring Esa Kuloniemi plays Fleetwood Mac

Traveling Jones has tapped guitarist and singer Esa “Bluesministeri” Kuloniemi, one of Finland’s leading Fleetwood Mac specialists, as the band’s lead vocalist.

Traveling Jones has become known as the trusted backing band for artists such as Pepe Ahlqvist and Eero Raittinen. Kuloniemi, on the other hand, has played with bands such as Honey B & T-Bones.

The original Fleetwood Mac, founded in London in 1967 by guitar legend Peter Green, blew the minds of an entire generation. The band started out as a pure 1960s British blues group striving for authenticity. Towards the end of the decade, the band’s style became more eclectic in its expression, and group are regarded as one of the pioneers of the ‘jam band’ concept. The line-up of that era is best remembered for the solo work of its three guitarists and the superb songwriting of Green and Danny Kirwan, which even influenced The Beatles and led to the band being courted to join the Apple record label’s roster. The band’s hits and classics, such as ‘Albatross’, ‘Oh, Well’, ‘Man of the World’ and ‘Jigsaw Puzzle Blues’, have stood the test of time.
