Sep 26, 2026 | 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Annantalo Arts Centre

Annankatu 30, 00100 Helsinki

Come join us on a colorful dance floor where Arabic hits are playing, balloons float around, and laughter fills the air!

Yalla Collective’s DJ gets the party started, Ramithawi takes the stage with live music, and Mo-Clown brings plenty of fun and surprises. Throughout the afternoon, there will also be dance games and a variety of art workshops for the whole family. Find a whole new disco look at the Keidas Costume Corner, and transform yourself into anything from a tiger to a superhero at the face-painting station.

Free admission, no advance registration required.

Our multilingual instructors and staff will be there throughout the event. Everyone is welcome to dance, create and join in!

Programme:

3 pm The doors open and the workshops begin. The Keidas Costume Corner welcomes its first guests, while Yalla Collective provides the music for the afternoon.
3.30 pm – Welcome concert: Ramithawi & musicians
Ramithawi is used to performing on big stages for large audiences. This time, he comes to Annantalo with a very special show created especially for children, joined by percussionists Ahoora and Hadi! Expect favourite children’s songs from the Arab world and beyond.
4 pm & 5 pm – Angela’s Dance Games
Explore movement, rhythm and music through fun dance games. Just jump in as you are – no previous dance experience is needed! The session is led in easy Finnish, and Angela also speaks Arabic and English.
4.30 pm & 5.15 pm – Mo-Clown Show
Get ready for laughter, surprises and a touch of magic! Mo-Clown invites children to join a lively show full of silliness, tricks and shared laughter. Places are limited.
5.45 pm – Closing concert: Ramithawi & musicians
6 pm The disco and workshops come to an end. On your way out, meet Mo-Clown in the courtyard, where he’ll be making balloons for the children. And there’ll be popcorn too!

Annantalo’s own Café Napero will be open throughout the event.

Workshops, 3–6 pm
Drop in for a little while or stay as long as you like.

Keidas Costume Corner
Explore the treasures of Annantalo’s costume collection and find the perfect outfit for the disco! Become a glittering fish, a wild princess or something completely different. At the end of the disco, simply return your costume to the Costume Corner.

Face Painting & Glitter
Get the most dazzling look at Yalla Disco with Willka! Choose from face painting, glitter or fun temporary tattoos for children. Turn into a tiger, a fairy or a superhero – or invent a style entirely your own.

Aladdin Drawing Workshop
Step into the magical world of Aladdin! Children can colour and add their own ideas to a large collaborative Aladdin-themed artwork using colourful markers. Come and leave your own mark on the picture! The workshop is led by Fabu Pires.

Amulet Workshop
Across many cultures, amulets have been used as symbols of protection, good luck and positive energy. In this workshop, you can design and decorate your own amulet made from salt dough. The workshop is led by Rosamaria Bolom.

Instrument Workshop
Rhythm, sound, colour and the joy of creating! Build your own musical instrument with Sanna Karlsson-Sutisna and Rodrigo Rodriguez from Delado International.

Yalla Disco is part of Nomads Festival and is organised in collaboration between Cultural Association Interkult and Annantalo.

Sensory aids are available to borrow during the event, and there is also a quiet room where you can take a break from the festivities.

See you on the dance floor!
