Zsuzsa Hullan: The Whole World Is a Stage
Sep 25 – Nov 6, 2026
Kaisaniemenkatu 10, 00100 Helsinki
The photo series The Whole World Is a Stage (Színház az egész…) focuses on theatre and aims to lift the curtain on what happens behind the scenes, offering the general public a glimpse into the lesser-known side of the theatre world. The exhibition is curated by Vera Várszegi.
“I am an actress. During performances and rehearsals, I see different situations, scenes and my colleagues from a perspective that is inaccessible to ordinary theatre-goers. When I fell in love with photography, I decided to bring these moments to light.”
Zsuzsa Hullan is an actress at Budapest’s renowned Vígszínház theatre and a photographic artist. Her first solo exhibition was held in Budapest in 2019. Since then, her photographs have been featured in numerous exhibitions, including international ones, as well as in publications such as Premier magazine and National Geographic, following a recommendation from Kossuth Prize-winning photographer Éva Keleti. Hullan has also participated in several prestigious photography competitions, receiving numerous awards.
