Ursa Observatory

Kaivopuisto, 00140 Helsinki

The Ursa Astronomical Associaton Observatory is located in Kaivopuisto Park. The Observatory dates back to 1926 and is still in active use by both Ursa members and other enthusiasts. Non-members can attend public shows to either observe solar phenomena (during summer months) or look at the starry sky (months with less sun light). The public shows are arranged according to a timetable and only when the weather is clear and temperature is not below -15 celsius degrees.

Please visit the Observatory's Facebook page or call for more information on the shows.
