Ylistys eläimille festival – Science x Art x Animal Rights

Oct 17 – 18, 2026

Stoa

Turunlinnantie 1, 00900 Helsinki

Ylistys eläimille is an interdisciplinary arts and science festival centred on animal rights.

The festival is a celebration that brings together both like-minded people and those who look at animal rights from a distance. It consists of presentations by researchers, performances by artists and interaction with animal rights activists.

The event takes place across various spaces at Stoa, combining exhibitions, speeches and performances. It is both thought-provoking and entertaining: music, conversation, laughter, food and drink.

Ylistys eläimille is not merely an event; it is a state in which the animal is not an object but is strongly present. The aim is to establish an annual festival that brings together art and research in a way that stirs emotions, spreads knowledge and motivates people to continue standing up for animals.

At the heart of the festival is the exhibition Todellisuus sellaisena, kuin se ei meille näyttäydy, which will continue at Stoa after the event until 22 November 2026.

The Ylistys eläimille festival is organised by Eläinoikeusakatemia and Häiriköt-päämaja.
