Cantores Minores & Windsbacher Knabenchor – Boy Choir Encounter
Finnish and international boys’ choir music
Cantores Minores and Windsbacher Knabenchor will hold a joint concert on at the Kallio Church, where they will perform both together and separately.
Cantores Minores and the world-famous German Windsbacher Knabenchor boys’ choir (founded 1946) will also perform Johannes Brahms’ ‘Ein deutsches Requiem’ in collaboration in two concerts in October 2026.
The main concert of the joint project will be exceptionally held on Friday 30 October 2026 at 19.00 in St. John’s Church. The work will also be performed on Thursday, October 29, at the Lohja Church in collaboration with the Lohja City Orchestra.
The soloists are opera singer Tuuli Takala, soprano, and CM alumni Tuomas Pursio, baritone. The concert will begin with Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody, with soloist Jeni Packalén, and the second number will be the composer’s Tragic Overture. The concerts will be conducted by Prof. Hannu Norjanen.
