Let's Picture, Illustrate and Discuss with John the Valiant - Book launch and workshop

In the event the new Finnish version of Hungarian national poet Sándor Petőfi's János sankari (originally in Hungarian János vitéz, in English John the Valiant)  will be celebrated, which is illustrated by László Herbszt and translated by Tuula Komsi. The illustrator László Herbszt will be presenting the newly published book and talking about his work as an illustrator.

Niina Ala-Fossi, visual arts educator, will run a relaxed illustration workshop. You may also take part in a John the Valiant illustration challenge and have your own illustration displayed on the wall of the Liszt Institute in May. Participants in the challenge will also be rewarded with the new illustrated edition of János sankari!

Free entry, the event will be held in Finnish and Hungarian,  under school aged children are welcome to attend the workshop with a parent.
