A one-of-a-kind forest-embedded Scenic Hut, open fire and top chef Markku Lakio. An intimate four-course dinner in the Nuuksio forest.

The Scenic Hut is unlike any venue in the Helsinki region — a turf-roofed structure built into a forested hillside in Nuuksio, designed by architect Malin Moisio, where the boundary between building and landscape disappears entirely. For two nights only, it becomes the setting for an intimate four-course dinner by private chef Markku Lakio.

Lakio cooks over open fire with precision and curiosity — Finnish wild ingredients, techniques drawn from global food cultures, flavours that are clean and considered. The menu moves from venison tartare to wild whitefish ceviche, nettle blini with roe, elk fillet, and lacquer crème brûlée. Each evening is a standalone event with the same menu and the same care.

The space seats a small group. The fire is the centrepiece. There is no background noise, no rush, no distractions — just the forest, the flame, and a meal built around both.
